No 4-lo

My parents recently got a 2013 suburban, and I was driving it today and noticed that there is no 4-lo setting on the 4wd selector. Does anyone know when and why they stopped putting in the 4-lo on the suburbans?

i read thru the description and operation for that t case and it doesnt mention 4 lo at all so ....it doesnt matter lol

If I had to guess it's probably because the main consumers for tahoes/suburbans don't really use 4lo, they're not exactly off-road friendly vehicles anymore. I could be wrong but thats how I see it

That's kind of what I figured, I thought they would just use the same t-case as the trucks so I was a little shocked to see it.

true, until you realize they have a long warranty and I'm sure enough service managers heard "while it was raining and I was on the highway, and I thought I was gonna slip so I put it in 4Lo and next thing I know everything that was under the truck was then behind it..."

 

As I said, all theory, however i'll never forget when I towed some guy who put his 10 yr old Camry into second gear doing 80 because it started to rain and he wanted more grip...

wow! it never ceases to amaze me what people do in their cars and the reasons they give, lol.
