Looking to power coat stock wheels

I'm thinking of getting my stock 20in chrome wheels powder coated. What is the round about price to get four wheels done? Can you show pics of your wheels that you coated?

I don't think you can powder those wheels unless you remove the chrome/plastic layer to get down to the actual wheel itself. I would buy whatever wheels you like, then sell your stockers to offset the price some.

Yup you have to remove the chrome plastic cladding before you can powder coat, powder coating involves electrical static charge.

that may or may not be true. You can powder coat plastic! As long as it can handle the temp of the cure ovan. Not saying I would try it on your rims tho

There is a member on here with steel wheels that he had powdercoated, I don't remember it being particularly expensive. You'll have to ask for a quote to know for sure.

Another option is to plastidip your chrome wheels. Inexpensive and can be removed if you don't like the style anymore.

Part of the powder coat process is to strip the wheel down to bare metal.

Just backing up Karlmg. I have plastidipped many wheels. You can buy plasti dip glossifier and other add ons line. They turn out looking better then powder coating and you can remove it easily any time you want.
