Hello everyone! My name is Darrin and I am a new member from Central Texas. I recently purchased a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab, All Star Edition. Love IT! I had a 2007 Silverado1500 Extended Cab Long Bed that I traded in on my 2010 Camaro. I decided I wanted a truck instead of a Camaro and traded it in.

 

I absolutely love the truck and do not regret my decision at all. I do have a question though. I know this will seem strange but I am not 100% certain of the exact specification of my truck. The documentation I received when I purchased it states that it is a 4X4, with the Z71 package. However there are no markings on the truck to specify that. I can not find a VIN checker that identifies the add on equipment based on installed packages from the factory.

 

Can someone help me out to decode my VIN? I listed it below. Thank You in advance.

Yes, your truck has the "Z71" code. 3.42 axles, limited slip rear diff, 5.3L, 6-spd auto, etc, etc.
