Are you looking for a storage box or a tool box? I don't have room for a storage box due to only having a 6.5 ft bed but if you are looking for a "tool box" this is what I have and like very much.

Been through all of them during the construction days. Best IMO is Weather Gaurd. Expensive but just like most things get what you pay for. Great seals and latches, great product.

I have used anything from an aluminum Tractor Supply Double Wide-Double Deep box to a Contico TuffBin mounted on the floor. As was eluded by others, it all depends on what you expect from installation (as in usability of the bed and box) and cost.

 

Personally, I preferred a plastic box simply because of the low inital cost and that your stuff isn't getting ground against metal (which happens, regardless whether there is a liner or not...). Right now I have a wooden shelf against the back of the cab to hold my bags of tools off the floor and a BakFlip F1 tonneau. The shelf allows me full use of my bed for anything up to a 4x4 post and easy access to my tools from the ground.
