Upgrade to dual rear piston, and 05+ fronts?

I was reading chawkins6789's build post, and he told me he was going to do an upgrade to his brake system, with the above brakes. Now I'm interested in doing this, and was wondering what all I need to upgrade?

I know I'll need new calipers on all four corners, but what else will I need? Will I need the caliper brackets on all four corners as well? And as for rotors, do I need to get new rotors on all four corners as well? I just want to know what all I need so I can price it out for what it will cost.

I just ordered stainless brake lines, so I figured I could hold off installing those until I save enough to buy everything I need to do the upgrades.

I already have 17" wheels, but not sure how big the wheels need to be. If I have to upgrade wheels, I wouldn't wanna do it

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Depends on what kit you get, I know if I upgrade to 20in rims, I can fit the Baer brake kit which comes with some huge rotors! I am guessing you have drums on the rear?

No I have disc on all corners. I just don't like the look of huge wheels on a lifted truck. And those brake kits are stupid expensive.

The Baer kit is just 05 front calipers painted red and then rotors

Will I need new caliper brackets and rotors for both the front and rear conversion?

Never mind, got your post on your build topic. Can't wait to start purchasing stuff and seeing how awesome they perform.

Is it worth the money to upgrade to hydro boost? Also, will my 17" wheels work with this conversion (the caliper conversion)?

17" minimum. And hydro boost is worth it from what I hear

Your right, I meant to put Brembo, I knew it was one of the B brands lol.

The Baker 6s kit is really nice but comes with a higher price tag than the brembo kit

Love my Wilwoods. Great stopping power, but definitely takes some getting used to at first.

Then sell them to me Jenna. You don't have Nali anymore

I'm looking at powerstop slotted and cross drilled rotors for the front. It asks if the rear brakes are bigger or smaller than 1" thick? What rotor should I get? They are different part #'s

I dont know, look into a 2003/04 silverado ss for rear brakes. those are the same calipers as a Denali SUV and should work for your truck

Since I'm doing all this work on my brakes I might as well get some new pads to match all the other new stuff. What do yall recommend? Not trying to break the bank, but something with decent wear for a decent price, and is good for towing?
