Ios7 and OGM1

So I'm sure all of you apple fans have heard about the new OS system that is coming out for newer gen apple devices. I am about to purchase an OGM1 here in a few weeks and was wondering if advent will be doing some changes to integrate this new OS in the device. It looks as if iOS 7 is going to be completely new to apple devices.

well ios 7 comes out tomorrow i hear around noon EST completely revamped system that will allow us to do more things much easier, and a whole new look. im interested in seeing how well it works, its pretty much everything i wish 6 was.

The OGM1 is the GPS deck all us cool kids with 900-series trucks bought and Walt is the owner of ADC Mobile, the company who we all got it from. He's the expert on these decks and seeing as car audio is his business/specialty it belongs here.

This has everything to do with car audio.

Thanks to the Mod for moving this post or I may have missed it. Am wondering the same thing about switching over to IOS7. Not going to do it until I know my OGM1 will be compatible. Has anyone tested it out yet?

iphone 4s with ios7 appears to work just fine.

I can bluetooth stream pandora from the phone screen a2d2 setting I think it is... control from here is restricted to phone. No album art just as before via bluetooth.

USB cable pandora works great. Album art appears to work, as does control from OGM1.

ipod controls work like before.

Hands free seems to work just fine.

Essentially ios7 seems to be a cosmetic change, when considering the OGM1

FWIW I wouldn't look anywhere but the audio section for this information.

I have talked to a few users that have done the update and have only heard from one that it made any difference at all, and that was in streaming Bluetooth audio (wasn't able to get it to connect to an iPhone5), but have heard from others that it works great. So - I don't know what is the truth - we need more experience.

I did talk to a developer that has had iOS7 through all beta versions and he reported that it was REALLY messed up in the beginning, but that it seems pretty bulletproof now. Again, however, I think we need more experience before the true picture will emerge.

For what it's worth - I own an iPhone 5 and I will not update to iOS 7 until we see at least a 7.1 or 7.2 release. I've been doing this too long to think (or hope) that Apple will get it all right the first time out. So far, every release of a new OS has blown up something, and it usually takes until *.1 or *.2 versions to get it all working again. So far, it looks much smoother than iOS5 or iOS6 were, but I'm always cautious...
