My truck has nearly 70,000 miles on it right now, and after researching shocks and struts for a while I decided on the Monroe Quick-Strut Assembly which normally run about $150 each. The best part is not having to disassemble the strut, it is a complete, ready-to-install replacement strut assembly.

After waiting and watching for a while, this morning I find Amazon has them on sale for $75 each....with free shipping! Half price is definitely something I can do, so even though I don't need them right now I went ahead and ordered a pair. Now to find the rear shocks on sale!! icon_e_biggrin.gif

Well crap. I suspected something was wrong when I logged in to Amazon from work and they showed no order information. I got an email stating the transaction was "cancelled" due to an "inventory feed error", meaning (to me) it showed as being in-stock even though it was not...or it WAS still in stock, but not at that price. Either way I'm not getting them right now.

I thought it was too good to be true. icon_cry.gif

Have you looked at Bilstines shocks and struts? The best IMO, that's what I'm going to replace my stock rancho shocks when it's time. And if your trucks stock 70k is a bit early to replace them isn't it?
