Dumb moves by big rigs.

There are none too bright in every profession. While the trucking industry moves america, there are some real doozies out there. What have you seen?

I just saw an oversize load swerve so his cargo wouldnt hit the traffic light. The Cargo was shorter than his exhaust stacks!

Saw an oversized load making erratic lane changes on I44 yesterday looked like the load had shifted a little as well.

A couple of weeks ago saw a dump truck use the shoulder to pass a couple of cars after the on ramp he used to enter the highway had ended.

One idiot driving a semi up here missed his turn on US85 and decided it would be a good idea to back up.

At night.

Some poor guy came up the road and hit the back of the semi at full speed, killed him instantly.

You can really see some amazing things up here in oil country.

A driver here blew his right turn and ran the trailer into a utility pole. Rather than back up and go again he just kept on going forward skipping the container around the pole. awesome.

I have my own.

A couple companies I worked for would let me practice with their rigs, so I took the offer when I could. I was learning how to drive one of these things about 14 years back. I was doing some laps in a parking lot down by the docks in Seattle and after about 10 min or so my buddy decides I'm ready to go... I still can barely shift this damn thing... but whatever right? I get onto the Ballard bridge and stall, miss shifts, lurch the rig, pure awesomeness. All this during peak rush hour. Hell yeah, I backed up traffic for at least a mile.

I see them on their side all along the highway every winter. My friend drives truck and he said you only get a few weeks of training before you can be considered a driver.. And the people training only have a few months.. It's pretty ridiculous that this is allowed especially since you are out in the road.. Hell look how many years of college you need to be in any other profession.

Look how little it takes to get a regular license. I mean who here has had official training since driver education when you were 15-16? I know I haven't yet I can hop in the seat and drive to my hearts content. At least CDL drivers have logs to maintain and in theory prohibit driving for too long.

Paper logs prohibit nothing until you get pulled over people lie in them all the time that's why they are putting electronic ones in. Once they are mandatory everywhere alot of truckers will be unhappy.

That's why I said in theory.
