Hey guys, I searched and didn't find anything, could be I just didn't know which words to use.

I had a 4" fabtech kit installed on my 2010 extended cab gmc sierra 4x4 back in June. So far I love it, I haven't had any problems. Although I did notice before but didn't pay much attention to it, but my rear end sits really low! I had it parked out by the curb and it's starting to bug me. The 4" kit comes with 1.5" rear blocks, but it looks no where close to level. Has anyone else had this problem before? Should I swap out the rear block for bigger ones? If so what size, and where's a good place to order them fairly cheap.

Thanks

No problem.

I have 3" rear blocks on my stock truck. Ordered from zone offroad

NO!!! Never ever stock blocks! It is very dangerous.

Whoever installed it, get someone else to do it. They obviously didn't know what they were doing. It is best just to get like a 5" block, since the stock block is 1.5" and you have a 4" lift. Ive actually seen some buddies of mine buy lifted trucks from dealerships with dual 4" stacked blocks, on a diesel at that. And whoever installed it put the blocks opposite, so the two angled sides cancelled out each other so it did not have the proper angle for the pinion

If you order from zone offroad ask them what size u bolts you need they will point you in the right direction (they did with the ones I ordered)

Or measure the u bolts you have now, and add the difference between the two blocks you have now to what ever size block you order, whether it be a 4 or 5 inch block. The are probably 9/16" or 5/8" u bolts and 2.5" wide. Just need to know how long you need them

Will the 5" block cause drivetrain problems? I've read online to try and keep the blocks as small as possible as they change the angles, but I don't know how to check the angles or what they should be even. I'll be the first to admit that I'm new to this and am still learning about lifting trucks.

Anytime you modify the suspension of any vehicle is when you start getting problems with the drivetrain, which is mostly the u joints and the CV axles.

There are a ton of us on here with lifts, so you aren't far from being helped on this subject

I currently have 5" blocks on my truck and its been fine so far. No odd noises from the drivetrain, other than a bad u joint, but that had 340k miles on it, so it needed to be replaced anyways.

And for the angles, the closest to stock the better. Obviously that won't happen when you have a 5" block, but the pinion angle will be correct, but where the driveshaft comes off the transfer case or tranny is where you will probably have the most problems, right between the slip yoke and driveshaft.

Would I have to modify the driveshaft or anything in the drive line if I add a 5" block? The 4" kit from fabtech came with new shocks with ALOT of travel. I noticed when they were putting my toyos on because they lifted it by the frame and my brake lines got really tight so I made them put a jack under the rear to take the weight off the cables

No mods to driveshaft.

Shocks might have a lot of travel because they might use the same ones as a 6" kit.

As for the warranty, Im not too sure on that. Mine is an 02 so its been out of warranty for a long time haha
