2014 silverado headlights

I just pulled the manual up online and it only lists bulb size 9005 for the high beams and H11 as the only bulb size for low beams.

All I was saying is that the student bulb sizes could have had different plugs. For example 9007 bulbs are very different than the plugs on a 9006 bulb...

Don't HID kits come with one connector for all Chevy trucks even tho they are different bulb sizes? That's how it worked for my 2008 silverado. Btw this is the illustration to the headlight that I was able to get. attachicon.gifimage.jpg

According to the diagram, you need to remove grille and maybe more to get the headlight assembly out????

That's basically what you had to do with the last model as well

Thanks, I guess I was hoping against hope for a change. Hard to get to from the rear and pain to remove. Oh well.

Post up if you do go through with this. I am looking to do the same thing. GMPartshouse quoted me $379.02 + $50.00 core each non-refundable, so I'd like to be sure they are plug-and-play before I spend that money.

So they charge you a core charge and then when you return the LT headlights they don't refund the core charge to you? Sounds like I'd be keeping the old headlights...

Yeah I'm definitely am going through with this, however, at the moment all my expenses are on a lift kit and wheels and tires. After that ill being doing the headlight transfer with the oracles. I'll have pics up as it comes along.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The word I should have used was returnable. The headlights wouldn't be returnable because they wouldn't be associated with my VIN.

Thanks for the info. When i purchased my truck, the dealership wouldnt even give me a price to purchase them.

To the OP:

You may already be aware of this but the GM projector headlamps are NOT HID. Yes they use projectors but they still use a halogen bulb. You won't get any better light output from them but if you are doing it simply for the look of the projectors then you will be fine.

Well at least for me it's just for the look and the more precise light direction, u can always add the hids later.

Do you have part numbers for these projector headlights?

When I asked for a part number, he said they don't show one in their system. Whether he was lying or not to keep my business there, I don't know. But I pulled an LTZ VIN from a local dealership website and he compared it to my LT VIN, and said they show up different in his system.
