NDSU vs. KSU KSTRUCKCOUNTRY what do you think?

Season opener for both schools Friday. 2 time defending FCS champions at the reigning BIG 12 Champs. I'm hoping for a good game with no injuries for either team. The Bison return 20 starters from last years team so should give the Cats a run for thier money. As a lifelong Bison fan I hope for the upset but unfortunately think the Cats are too deep. I think KSU will have a slight lead at halftime but pull away in the second half.

My prediction- KSU 31 NDSU 17

Looking forward to the game!!!!!!! The Bison have a very good chance, their coach mentioned in the press conference that Bison players have at least 50 more games experience then the Kansas players. I wish I could have gone, I have my Frisco tickets already, but having a job that I do, I will be watching this one from the bar here in Bismarck!

And I believe your prediction is off, as a Bison fan it is ok to believe they will win. It will be a much closer game then 14 points in my opinion anyway, as long as Brock doesn't through any pics.

I hope your right. I do think the depth of the KSU team will be an issue for the Bison. In programs of that caliber the second string isn't that much of a dropoff from the first string. I think the starters on the Bison can compete but with the temps in the high 80s or low 90s there will be a lot of subbing and thats what concerns me. I do think the Bison can win but they will have to be perfect. I actually feel kind of bad for the Cats tho. If the Bison win or keep it close everyone will be trashing them. A blowout is the only result the pollsters will accept and that's not going to happen.

A few things you have to remember. Even the Bison back ups have been playing for a few years now and have plenty of experience, they will be ready. Temperature will have no affect on the game. It has been in the 90s for the past few weeks in ND and the Bison have been practicing outside, weather will not be a factor. I do agree with you about if Kansas does not have a blowout it will be a mental loss for them. Kansas believes this will be an easy game and the Bison will bring the hard hitting game to Manhatten that they are known for. Mark my word, the Bison will become known after this game.

At least with last year's team, pulling away seemed to happen after halftime. I'm really excited to see an opener against a better team like NDSU, seems like the opener is usually lame, and it'll be nice for it to be interesting for a change. I'm excited to see Jake Waters play too, and from what I've heard Sams may see some time in as well.

I always have a great time at the games. It's supposed to be super hot tomorrow, maybe I won't get there 3 hours early like I usually do.

By the way, the Cats don't have to lose to get trashed. Seems like last year we hardly got any press time, and when we did it was veiled trash talk.

Just watched the news up here and they said they had an Alumni get together down there and had 1000 people show up. They are saying there will be about 4000 Bison fans there. 6 people from work went down today. Hope the bars are stocked up!

Looked into it a little more and seems KSU lost quite a few on defense, might be a closer game than I previously thought.

Good luck to you guys tomorrow! I wish I would be able to make it but will be back in ND cheering the Bison from here. From what I have read and seen on the net the new stadium is very impressive and your fan base if very loyal, we know how to drink and tailgate up here and I hope our showing is good in Manhatten but I don't think it will even compare to yours. I hope everyone has a good time down there and hope for a hell of a game.

I just watched that, he was more entertaining last year, especially the WVU video. Not sure what he's going for.

In general, fans are pretty polite here. Unless KU is visiting.

Glad our fans showed you guys a good time. It was a great game and I bet your fan base is in awe right now that they got beat by an FCS team. NDSU will win the Championship this year, mark my word.

WOW! The Bison defense is for real. Except for the 2 long passes the Cats didn't really do much. I hate to say it but I was a little surprised at the score. I thought the heat would affect the Bison a little more but it seemed like the Bison were actually the better condition team.

I was pretty bummed we blew that lead so fast. KSU really only had one good quarter. Definitely not going to win anything playing like that. Waters stats were 17 att, 14 comp at one point which is decent, but it seemed like the plays were mostly crappy and no one was "on" much. I heard people blaming it on D, yeah they could have done better, but that wouldn't have changed the fact that we couldn't score lol.
