GM has a deal that if one has a corporation they have a promotion for up to $400 for accessories ( mine is a GMC truck; don't know if it also applies to Chevy, but I would surmise it does). So one of the accessories is a Bed Rug and the only difference is that it has the GMC logo on the cab portion. It was to come in overnight and be here this week but when I went to inquire about it today I was informed that they are behind in production and will not be shipping until Sept. 20-24 or so. I don't want to wait that long as I don't want to mess up the bed. The cost was to be $420 from GM and $400 was a credit for a net charge of $20 plus tax. Being impatient, I ordered it from Bakflip as their pricing is $371 on sale until Labor Day. I also have an F1 backflip ordered which again is what some of my friends have raved over. Both items are free shipping.

 

As to whether I self install remains to be seen. There are videos at each company website which is supposed to assist. I am not probably as handy as some of you; however the companies promise anyone can do it....we will see; I may prove to be the exception!

Does the go around the lights in the bed?

Just because I'm curious...

 

Does anyone have a Line-X liner and load a snowmobile into the bed of their truck? I'm curious as to how the liner holds up against the studs and the carbides. The one time I loaded a sled directly onto the plastic drop-in that I had in my truck at the time, it chewed it up really badly, especially on the gate. The last time I did this, I used a piece of 1/2" plywood for the sled to sit on and didn't notice any ill effects to the plastic liner.

 

I would be interested in seeing photos of a Line-X liner after transporting a sled a few times.

I hauled my sled in the bed of my truck after getting my line x done. The carbides were a little rough on it where the brunt of the weight ended up while loading it - there were some visible scrapes. That was only after loading/unloading once.

I have the sprayed in liner in my truck, its OK kinda harsh on what I haul in the bed, I want to get a bed mat at some point.

      Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.

      Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?

      Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.

      Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.

      I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
