Bed Liner Discussion

To anyone with a bedrug... How do they do in the snow and rain? I have been thinking about getting one but I don't and won't have a cap or cover on the bed.

 

Is it like a wet carpet when it gets wet or will it never fully dry and get smelly?

It fully dries. I was carrying some food the other day and had a full pan of beans spill in the bed [emoji35][emoji35] I pressure washed it all out and let it sit with the bed open from noon till the sun went down and it was dry

When I pressure washed it the rug was SOAKED.l

Mine has never gotten smelly and it sits under my tonneau all the time, I've let it get wet and sit under the cover to see if it would get smelly but didn't (thankfully haha)

I got mine with the GM bed-liner and I like it a lot my concern it if it will fade. I do not have a cover I have never been a fan of them. I really like the embossed GMC letters in it that is a very nice touch.

I got the GM beliner as well but it is cheap, thin, and warps on hot days. I had a pendiliner in my last two trucks and they were great. I will probably pull mine and do a spray in.

I also went with the GM liner, and had had no issues with it. Been there for a few weeks. It's gotten pretty hot here during that time, too. I thought about a spray in, but the idea of sanding the whole bed and the cost drew me away.

I just sprayed my bed in my truck myself and had the GM drop in liner and let me tell you that liner does more damage that you think. When I removed it to sand my truck bed down to spray it the black liner had wore down spots on the wheel wells and at the front where the drain holes are that we starting to rust! Imagine if you never removed that. Bye bye bed lol so glad I sprayed my bed

Anyone have a problem with the tailgate closing after spray in?

I got rhino sprayed in last week by a dealer in my area that I've heard nothing but good things from. I didn't open the tailgate there like an idiot, but did when I got home. I almost have to push the tailgate in order to release the latch without the feeling that i'm about to break the handle. Also when I close the tailgate I almost have to slam it. the body lines all meet up perfect. I see the pictures of others and mine was taped off exactly like the others. is it just two thick or do most places adjust the latches a tad?

I chose the spray in I had the same in a previous truck and I loved. I will say I like the black the previous spray in I had was a color match green and although it looked decent there was always something a little off about it for me.

I went with the Rhino Liner, had to travel >100 miles, because none of the local line-x or rhino dealers wanted to do business...guess my money wasn't green enough for them I don't know. I had a line-x in my last truck, held up well, but the price between the 2 and the fact that no one was willing to schedule the job locally made me go with rhino this time around...it's the hybrid variant, guess time will tell.

Anyone seen the weathertech bed liner? Wondering how it fits?

If it is anything like their floor mats I would guess it fits poorly.

Out of curiosity has anyone had any problems with their bed rug? I recently pulled mine and got Line-X sprayed. The premium Line-X looks awesome by the way!

 

Anyways prior to getting the spray liner about once a week the Bedrug would start coming unattached while I was driving. I would have to pull over, get out and walk around in the bed in order to get the velcro to re-attach.

I'm looking to get the Line-X done. Is there really a difference between the Line-X Standard and the Line-X Premium?

 

I know the premium says it's Fade resistant and has UV protection, but is it really worth the difference? Anyone have experience with both?

 

I can get the standard Line-X for $600. Premium is $750. There's only 1 shop within 100 miles radius so it's a little more expensive than other areas. I'm thinking I should just bite the bullet and get the premium, especially since I plan on having the truck for a long time.

 

If there's really no difference, then I obviously would just save my money.

Standard LINE-X and LINE-X Premium have the same strength. The differences are:

1. Standard will fade due to UV light from the sun. Premium will hold it's color much longer which is the primary purpose of getting Premium.

2. Premium is a darker black and a bit more glossy than Standard LINE-X.

3. Premium is more stain resistant than Standard LINE-X.

4. Premium is easier to clean than Standard LINE-X.

 

By the way, LINE-X is WAY stronger than Rhino (according the the technical data sheets, which I have).
