Rear Underseat Storage Box / Bin

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone who owns the Du Ha or the Husky GearBox can give me their review of the products. I'm trying to decide which one I want to go with. Basically I'm trying to figure out of the Du Ha is worth the extra $20-$30. Thanks guys!

Went with the GM piece myself and like it a lot. Finally somewhere for the ice scraper and winter gear. Only downfall is lost cargo room with seat up but I'll keep that trade off.

I purchased several furniture moving blankets a while back, and folded one--placed it on top of my storage box, kinda making a blanket lid of sorts. Covers up metal-on-metal tool rattle sounds, and can allow one to put stuff on top of it when wanting to use that area for cargo. Plus you have an area for carrying that blanket, which can be placed on the ground for whatever reasons.

I went for the DU-HA just to match the interior color better. No complaints for storage.

In my opinion it comes down to whether you plan on storing firearms in it. The Du-Ha is the winner no question. They are both similar in construction and design.

If you Google Du-Ha tons of sites come up to sell them. Pick the cheapest place,they are all drop shipped from the factory any way. Got mine for $30 less than the Du Ha site. I modified the straps to use those side release buckles, much easier to take out now. Don't have to re thread the straps in the supplied pcs. every time.

That's what I bought also, so far I'm please and love the compartments. I also bought the tow pindle holder but I'm not sure I'll use it as you have to drill it in your bed.

What price are you guys paying for your storage bins? My dealer quoted me $170 for the factory bin.

Sorry Rain,no camera, no phone. Took a couple feet of 1" webbing ,(2 pcs.) . Folded in half,punched in 1/2" brass grommet about 1" from fold. Attached one side of the buckle by sewing it on, after measuring where I wanted the buckles to be under the seat. (I went to the bolt furthest back closest to the bed wall) Put the other end of the buckle on the webbing (the adjustable end). Put the grommet over the bolt, put on the supplied nut and tightened down slightly. Took a dremel tool and enlarged the strap slot on the box,to allow the snap buckle to pass easily. I went left and right and downward so as not to weaken the top edge .Put box in, put buckle through slot clipped together and pulled the strap tight enough to hold box in place,trimmed off extra webbing,took lighter and sealed the web edges and done. took about 30 minutes but well worth it to me. I will have to take out box every time I put 2 dog cages on rear floor.

I'm looking at getting one of these as well. I would like to see a pic of the Klrrdr's mod as it sounds pretty cool. Also, anyone have any information about the one that GM offers?
