This is why I can't have nice things

No scratches really on the coloured part, just the aluminum part. And both passnger side wheels are bad, the other side i could live with (minor scratches)

I guess I'm worried mostly cause I don't understand how it would be fixed. All new wheels would be super expensive.

Decided to test out the 4X4 in a mud hole yesterday. Good times until I got stuck. Ended up getting out and was cleaning her off today. 45min at the carwash later I notice my wheels are now scratched pretty bad. Smooth move me.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

What did you pay for the "truck"?

You're not supposed to get stuck. Didn't they tell you that?

So next time you wanna go off road use the golf course next to you. (and stay the hell on the lawn)

Sorry for the damage on your truck. Hope you can get it fixed.

Pulling someone out in a 2wd is virtually impossible. In a 4wd it's much easier.

Is that a road? Man that loosk like some slimy mud.

It is, it used to always have water in the middle of it. The truck I pulled out was my buddy's 2wd.

Regardless, if you get in a pit and lose traction, it's easy to get stuck even with 4wd. The factory tires don't help much.

I have to say this is one of the things I like about having my 2002 Silverado. It's been long paid off, has some scratches and small dents, and it's very freeing not to obsess over every single nick and scratch. I just drive and enjoy it. Wash it maybe once a year. So when I do finally get the $45K 2014, it's not going to be fun the first time I see a ding or scratch. And won't be fun having to baby the thing just because of the high cost and fancy finishes. That's the thing too. It used to be that trucks were more utilitarian so what they looked like didn't matter. Now that they have all the luxury appointments of high-end cars, we have to baby them.

Totally agree tow dog, although my truck is paid off already :)

Turns out the scratches aren't as bad as I first thought. (Pic shows dirt in the scratches)

So I'm sure I'll be able to have them fixed.

Spent 4 hours underneathe the truck digging out all the mud and cleaning it. So I learned my lesson and as soon as the wheels are fixed I'm good to go!

Ya must have been rocks in there. So you think it can be buffed out or something? I mean they are "ultra bright machined aluminum" so I'm hoping so.null_zps66c46f87.jpg

Here is the pic you guys are looking for from page 1.
