Remove bed rail caps?

Does anyone know how to remove the bed rail caps? I had a post fall against the side and made a small dent just under the rail. I am sick to my stomach over it. But i think I may be able to remove the bed caps and get a paintless dent removal company to go through there to fix it. But i don't know what is under them. Is it solid or does it have access holes? If not, maybe I could have them go through the tail light area. It is just under the rail between the wheel well and the taillight. Just so upset at this all :-(

It has holes under them. If you run your hand under them you will feel the pegs (for lack of a better word) sticking through the holes holding them on. If you do take them off to get the truck fixed. Post a pic of whats under them for us.

The underside of the bed cap has a bunch of retainer tabs. Should be able to pull the cap off with a trim removal tool I'd think.
