How to protect the lower doorsill?

Hey y'all. Long time lurker that just bought my first truck, 2014 Sierra double cab. Thanks for all your guys information on here. I'm loving everything about the truck!

As the title states, the painted part between the lower plastic door step and the door itself keeps getting scuffs/scratched as people get in and out of my truck. Does anyone know if there is a way to protect this area?

I believe there are door sill plates available from gm, I think the all terrain model comes with them in a package but they can be purchased separately for 160.00

Thanks. I didn't realize they had those for our trucks. Price seems a little steep though. I'll check around and see if there is anything aftermarket that's better priced. Hopefully someone who has them can chime in.

Some people have a nasty habit of dragging their feet over the door sill or standing on it to get in and out. This is a pet peeve of my wife and I. It just drives us crazy. The accessories noted above will help.

I doubt they will fit, but AVS made some black ones for the GMT-800's that fit the crew cab 900's! Maybe look into those. Sorry I don't have a model #, but if I find them I will post up as they are on my list for the new truck.

Summit racing has black plastic sill protectors.

Same as gm accessories, made by auto ventshade.

Same here. It gets really annoying to try and tell people. Even then they don't listen. That's why I'd rather have something that allows me to stop worrying about it.

Summit racing has black plastic sill protectors.

If you're willing to spend about $1000 go to linex and ask to get your rockerpanels done, lifetime warranty on their work and it will protect from pretty much anything you can throw at it! Coming from someone who has to beat their truck up getting out to the rigs it was by far the best option I made.

If you get your box lined at the same time the dealer may even be willing to throw you a $100 discount!

I had my rockers done by a friend. I spent like $100ish on a kit similar to Raptor liner off Amazon. Gave him like $40 for paint/materials and bought us lunch. Obviously unless you know a body guy you'll spend more but I bet you can get it done for less if you know of a trusted shop. Here's a pic of mine, I don't know what the 2014s look like under the door so I don't know how well it'd work.

That's a good idea, from what I understand this can be a DIY if you have the compressor.

You could use the clear tape-like material that is on the bottom of the rear wheel well reveal. Guys around here that don't like hood deflectors have been doing the front of their hood. Most big dealerships will have the equipment.
