So.... why do you still own it? I hated a Ram I had so I sold the thing. I'm not asking this as a gm loyalist.... because trust me, very far from it. I just wouldn't tolerate it... and the fix sounds like that truck in a crusher..... So ditch it. Yes it will be a hit.... but so is some heap layed up in a shop and not out making money.

What is your states lemon law? Has the regional gm rep been involved. Ask your dealer to call in.

are you thinking you should have life time warranty on your IPC ?

Back at the dealer again. It stayed fixed "sorta" for 2 weeks and then started pulling over the centerline again, worse when cold. Still had bad road manners, wondering, pulling left and right, poor center return. Again, too dangerous to drive and tagged out of service since last week. What a joke. Have called GM several times and got the blow off. Was told policy is to only fix / change one part at a time. I guess because my time effort and energy is free. And fixes aren't fixes they are guess's , I think this should be spelled out when you buy the truck. So you know up front you might be out a lot of money while they play guessing games at your cost.

Remember Im only trying to get the dangerous / deadly stuff fixed. Im not talking about the piddly stuff that's not right.

I haven't got the time yet but Im sending a full account to the DOT and requesting a DOTI. Also NTSB, NHTSI and CU. I am very POd at their blow off of such a serious issue. Never mind all my time and wasted money and aggravation, this isnt a messed up radio or noisy sunroof.

No I dont expect a Giant corp. that has received a gov. bail-out from hard working LOYAL customers to fix my IPC for free!!!

But 500-600 dollars for a rebulit cluster thats (what the dealer said they install) which can be bought on line for 190.00 and

installed in 30 mins. is WRONG and in no way a good way to keep Loyal brand customers!!!! This cluster issue was settled in a class action law suit.....So how can G.M. keep installing reworked clusters that they won't replace when they fail???? Is this the way

they want me to buy a new G.M. car/truck by having to fix the same issue every 2-3 years? We'll see how many times owners of

the new silverados with AFM problems return after their warrenties run out and their told SORRY...you have to pay big $$$

to fix that if they buy G.M. again.... As said in other posts on the envoy section our G.M. vehicals have for the most part been

very good and would't buy anything else ....but electrical parts and control systems that these cars/trucks use to make them

operate safely and effeciently should in some way be covered to some degree!!!!

I know I'm coming into this late but if you've brought the truck back in 3 times for the same issue that is grounds to Lemon law it. Get a lawyer and start the process, heck tell the dealer you're doing it. If I were you I would not have even waited this long.

Wisconsin's Lemon law requirements:

http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/safety/consumer/rights/lemonlaw.htm

They seem to make it very easy there, there is a form to fill in and submit. I'm sure you have the documentation you need. Ditch the truck, this should not even be a question.

As for the actual issue, this sounds like it could even be a frame problem, something is probably wrong with the suspension mounting points causing even new parts to quickly wear out and not work properly. If that's the case you're never fixing it.

I think your right, I don't know if I can ever trust this thing on the road. They called and left a message that now they want to replace both calipers, both hoses, and one other thing and see if that does it. Called GM corp cust srv again today, worthless. They said they will advise the dealer of my concerns. Forget it.

I see on the net there are no fee, or back ended fee, attys that handle this stuff. Appears legal fees are a tack on with the settlement. Not a upfront fee. Ill make some calls tomorrow. What a lousy ordeal !

I had issues with my Camaro and GM CS was very helpful, but it helped my dealer was pretty good too.

I'm glad you decided to start the process, Based on what you have said I just don't think its ever going to be right. I'm sure we would all prefer to see you driving something that is safe now, and isn't going to screw you down the road should the problem return.

No I have not contacted the above inet rep, do you think it would matter? I have contacted GM directly several times to no avail. "They will have a field rep contact me" still waiting.

So I got the truck back Friday and drove it about 150 miles with no issue. Today I pulled out of work and it started pulling right back over the center line again. Stayed pulling all the way home, I give up. Even as a former gear head Im puzzled.

Back to the dealer again, but they cant get on it till Tuesday next week. So we have to red tag it out of service for the 3rd time. Its just too dangerous a truck for anyone at our shop to drive if their not used to it.

Barky,

When it pulls to the left, is that while braking, or just driving down the road? Same thing happens even on different roads?

Its been a changing issues slightly. If you read back it is/was a brake and steering issue, they overlap. After 3 trips to the dealer its still acting up. Today after applying the brakes prior to pulling out on the hwy, and then accelerating out it just pulled a arc right into the other lane. After that you have to hold a wheel correction near full time. Its on and off, sometimes it does it , sometimes not. It is better after the 3 visits, they replaced the hydroboost and 2 calipers, lines, but still not fixed correctly. Good farm truck but you cant bet your life on it on the highway.

The other related issue is "dartiness" ?? when you go over bumps the steering wheel and truck darts either direction like there is slop in the steering box. I have drove 2 other new 2500s neither had these symptoms or bad road manners. Its been a long story on many boards and its getting winded....
