It is in front of the cooler, but it is still getting plenty of air. Haven't noticed any issues at all.

I know these have been talked about before and saw them just a minute ago and had a random thought, I wonder if you could use these to mount a bar. Like mount these brackets like you are supposed to and instead of attatching pods you attach an appropriately sized bar to reach from one to the other

No I don't plan to do it, but saw them and had the thought, just figured I'd post Incase if anyone else was interested in it

You probably could but think about the glare you would get because is so closed to the hood and then it will also take away from your sight over the hood.

Just went through this entire thread and seem to lobe the led bars so now i need one.... Or 2...problem is i love the behind the grill look but i have a Z71 amd it looks like that grill blocks a lot of the light. Will the light be blocked off a lot??

I mostly want it for road night driving, i live in Texas and work in North Dakota and drive every 3ish months and pull the drive all at once. In Colorado i hit a long stretch that is just lonley amd dark so i want more light.

What is a good light setup for a 2014 Z71?i saw the rigid industries grill but i dnt like it.

And what are the best ligts... Period.... I dnt want garbage on my new baby lol

Check out harborled on instagram, great lights for a great price. They are Chinese but the lights are good quality. A few of us are running their stuff and love them.

Tbh i was looking at the rigid industries combo 30" light.... I have no problem forking over $1200 for a quality product. Thing is the installation, i dont want the Z71 grill blocking all the light. I know it will block some but i want the most light possible.

I'd never spend that much for a bar personally

Hell, just a week ago I met a guy at a truck meet and he has a custom made insert for the bumper on his 14 and he had a 30" rigid industries bar and it had more water in it than you could shake a stick at haha. My $150 worth of eBay bars get very very little moisture in them and it's only when I use a pressure washer on then when washing the truck and it's still gone within 20 minutes of finishing washing.

The harbor LED bars are some really incredible stuff. My buddy is getting a group buy together in the next month. PM me if you are interested as it can drastically cut the shipping costs when we do group buys so your price will go down for a quality piece.

If someone is willing to send me a rigid pod I'll take that apart and my Chinese one and do a video showing how they insides are, I can almost guarantee you they are identical. I'm just not spending money on rigid. Unless rigid makes their own led chips. Let's face it, EVERYTHING comes from China and they just brand their stuff. We live in a world where the goal is to get rich. Cheap labor over seas and just over price it once your name is on it.

Compare the output and you'll be shocked

Insides are pretty much identical, but like DD said, outputs can differ. But that's mainly from rigid to an eBay bar. Rigid to the harbor LED bars, the output difference is miniscule if at all different

If anything, I think the harbor LED bars are brighter

I've had both Rigid and Chinese, Rigids are NOT worth that much of a cost difference. I've never had one EBay or Chinese light bar fail or get water. I've saved almost$1500 on going with EBay Chinese stuff over Rigid. To me it's like purchasing generic drugs over the name brand.

Here are my fogs. You can pick any number you want and pick whether you want flood or spot. I did one flood and one spot on each side. $36 a piece. I've had them for 4 months now with no issues whatsoever. You also do not need a harness with these if you use 2 on each side. The current and voltage draw for 2 of them is almost identical as factory bulb.
