The "I enjoy the hell out of my 2014" Thread

As stated a long time ago earlier in this thread, my 2014 GMC is the best riding, best powered, quietest and best looking truck I've had in my six decades of driving pick-up trucks.

I recently had the following modifications done to the 2014: dropped rear 2" via shackles, Peragon cover, jimmijammer anti-theft lock for tailgate, AMP Research Bedstep2 folding side steps on both sides at cab end of bed, WeatherTech bed liner and AMP Research bed extender and quick release clips. Picture below shows my 2011 and 2014 GMC trucks side-by-side after dropping the 2014 two inches. The trucks were on level concrete and had essentially the same bed height. I wish I parked them side by side in the same fashion before installing the drop kit on the 2014 to see how much higher the 2014 was than the 2011. The two side shots show the 2014 before drop kit and options and afterwards. Yes, I am enjoying the hell out of my 2014 GMC Sierra.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only "older gentleman" that enjoys modding his truck. My wife seems to believe that I'll outgrow it sooner or later but probably NOT. :)

Glad to hear you're enjoying your new truck as much as I am mine!!!

Me too, Tom! Me too (older guy, still modding). UPS and FEDEX guys know me pretty well!

And enjoying it more each day. My wife says I keep finding the longest routes for some reason.

I love how solid the truck feels. Every time off road in my 800 platform I heard all the door seals and such creaking as the truck was twisting, this truck nothing. I love it!

BTW, Just in case nobody heard me the first time.I Love this freaking truck. I grin every time I get in it.

Had my truck for 10 days/450 miles. No issues that I have seen posted on here and I really like it. Keep finding excuses to make a ride to the store, etc.

I ordered the leveling kit and tinted the windows. Looking at running boards now.

I really like the smooth ride, comfortable interior and the mylink radio. I have not tried to play video on it, but I'd imagine you would have to use a HD and not a phone?
