Any way to TOTALLY disable Traction/Stability?

Press and hold always works for me, on my '07 and current rides.I've seen the traction control light when sideways, but never felt any kickback from tc, stabilitrac or abs when disabled. My back tires can attest to that.

The ONLY way to completely disable everything is with EFI Live. You can press and hold it but it's still on. You kick out sideways it's still limiting slip. I've never tried to run it in low like that before to see...makes sense though.

I'm having troubles keeping TPMS sensor light off in mine, just keeps turning back on. Very annoying.

Just joined this site and the reason I ran across it is because im trying to figure out how to get this garbage turned off PERMANENTELY. Let me ask you this, does anyone on here know if EFI live will void a warranty???????? And if so, if I have warranty work coming up can I just have it reflashed back to stock? Just curious because my truck is a 2014 gmc sierra 2500 hd 6.0 gasser with right at 1000 miles on it. I bought this truck as a plow prep package and It was supposed to be my new favorite toy but this damn thing has done nothing but piss me off with this stabilitrak. Im one that does in fact like to goose the throttle and get a little sideways in a parking lot in the middle of the night while plowing (nobody else around). Most of the time if snow is not deep I plow in 2 wheel drive (southern Ohio) but I cannot do this because even with the slightest bit of tire spin its choking out power. So the other night I get in my manual and figure out how to turn all this stuff off. Hold the button down so many seconds ladada and the dash saids tc off and stabilitrak off. So happy it was off. So I get going down the road and hit a small snow drift and truck gets sideways just a little bit. Anyone with any driving skills what so ever knows that the last thing you wanna do is tap your brakes or not feather the throttle to get it to come back. Hell in this situation most times I wouldn't even put my other hand on the wheel, just feather the ole girl and bring her back. So I go to feather the gas and wouldn't you know it NO POWER and to top that off this piece of crap is applying rear break?????? While sliding sideways!!!!! What a bunch of idiots at GM. Great concept if grandma is going to be driving the vehicle but this is my gmc sierra 2500 hd WORK TRUCK! From what I have gathered its not just GM but its the other truck makers to.

Anyways, 11 years of plowing in trucks without this garbage on it and never been in a ditch... Guess where I was after gms great idea of thinking that they needed to have control of my truck. Thank god the truck didn't get hurt........ If this truck hadn't pulled this I could have driven out of this situation with 2 fingers on the wheel. Other than this issue I LOVE everything about this truck........

On my 2008 if I hold down the TC button for 5 seconds it turns everything off and I can bomb down the frozen lakes in knee high snow.

I wish I could find a nice safe place to do something like this. I can probably find a place, but it would either be on private property without permission or public property with a cop inevitably near by.

Elected Officials????? I cannot imagine that elected officials have the authority to "make" them do these things. I can understand EPA regulations but cannot imagine elected officials can MAKE them have this garbage on a vehicles............... Im not saying this isn't true, its just very hard for me to believe.........

The feds mandated ABS, airbags, seat belts, tire pressure monitoring as well as traction and stability control through the DOT or some other worthless govt agency that has no right to exist. This undefeatable junk is on every new vehicle.

wow, shame shame........ by the way after reading my post it made it sound like I was questioning you personally. Not what I meant at all. Well, with that being said I guess Ill just have to do a little research on weather EFI live will affect my warranty??

Sort of. The presence of a tune won't automatically void coverage but it will make things difficult as you'll need to be able to prove a non-factory calibration didn't cause damage. The truck does have the means to tell his many times it's been flashed so even going back to stock won't cover your tune/mod.
