Went back and checked out the wiring diagrams again a little more thoroughly and here's what's going on. When you select the LOCK function the gry/blk wire provide power while the tan/blk wire provide ground. If you select UNLOCK the situation is reversed thus the gry/blk wire are the ground side and the tan/blk wire provide power. This problem does not begin w/ the origin of the ground point since there is only one aspect that is not working. I believe the problem is with the door unlock relay. The wiring between the relay and the actuator connector is obviously good or your unlock function would be inop as well. Pull the unlock relay and check for corrosion on the terminals. This would probably be a little easier to troubleshoot if you had a multimeter and the knowledge to use it. Furthermore don't worry about bothering anyone here....some of us enjoy helping others get the kinks out of their trucks.

Well still stumped :(... I replaced lock relay and nothing same problem ..then I checked tan/blk and grey/black door lock and unlock power at actuator.. grounded my test light and probed both wires..they both light up when button is pressed..replaced button also.. nothing..thinking maybe ground on lock position only passenger side ????? Is there a way to ground wires since they light with test light grounded ..STUMPED :(....keep in mind I have two new actuators and both will unlock but not lock???

I don't see a dedicated ground wire running to the actuator plus if it's working one way and not the other the odds of a grounding issue are slim. You didn't say what brand of actuators you have been trying. Are you sure they are the correct parts? Since you have power at the actuator plug I would take the second actuator and apply 12v to it to see if it works like that. Do you get any click, etc. or is it just dead silence when you try to lock it?

One more thing....there are 3 relays and the unlock relay isn't clearly identified in the panel. Looking at the fuse panel cover It's the one at the bottom right side that says "see note" on it....

Sometimes those electrical problems can get a bit frustrating....especially when you have no clue what the experience is of the guy on the other end. Glad you got it fixed.

Extended cab..Can anyone help me understand the 3 plugs going to my door actuator..The ones I know out of three are.. number one.. 2 prong for keyless entry..number 2 another two prong for unlock / lock?? ..but dont understand number three.. 3 prong plug or longer plug?? I received my wiring diagram.. by the way thank you ..and wiring diagram shows me grey/tan to lock and unlock do I really need any more info before I make sure the grey and tan are working correctly to figure out why it unlocks but doesn't lock only passenger side??
