Should I have a weather "app"? GMC Sierra SLE

The home screen on my display doesn't have a weather app. Should it? I do not have navigation.

I'm pretty sure the weather app comes with the models equipped with Nav.

If you want Nav and the weather app it's like 1800 from the dealer to have factory Nav installed. I'm sure eventually there will be apps for download on the mylink.

Seems like the weather app ran off of XM; as soon as my subscription ran out I didn't have it anymore

Yes, the weather app is from XM. It's like $3-$4 a month for the TravelLink package, and another $4 for NavTraffic. Not really worth it at the full price. XM is way too expensive without discounts.

i have not even listened to xm since i got this truck. all i listen to is HD radio. i have 1 station that i listen to... every song i pretty much like and not 1 single commercial. if i go out of town then i have my phone with my music. XM = JUNK!

If its free it for me. But yeah I have to say if I paid I'd be a little disappointed. They play the same 10 songs a day on some of the channels I listen to. I can hear the same thing for free on terrestrial radio. Tell you the truth I've been using the Pandora app on the radio much more..
