Does it make sense?

A couple days ago my truck was on a train headed to E. Brookfield,Massachusetts(10mi from dealer) according to Chevy chat. Got an update that it had arrived in Mass at the rail depot and was awaiting inspection and cleaning before being loaded on a truck to the dealer. Then i got an update (again from the same chat) and found out the truck was in Texas, still headed to Mass. Now it is on a boat headed to Baltimore, MD. Updates are all over the place the since Monday!

So the truck left Silao, went to Texas, unloaded from train, loaded on boat, must travel through the gulf of Mexico, around Florida and up the East coast to Baltimore where it will then be loaded on another train and sent to the depot in E. Brookfield Massachusetts.

Wouldn't it be easier (and cheaper) to keep it on a train straight through to the Northeast? It would seem there would be a very large cost in unloading, boat ride, reloading, ect?

What say you? Thoughts?

Trying to be patient..........

Yes sounds dumb to me. I would have thought leaving it on the train would have been the smart thing to. This maybe the reason the destination charge is so high.

I guess they're not really that dumb, see below

This was yesterdays update!

I see that you chatted in yesterday and

they told you that the vehicle was being shipped by boat to the port in

Baltimore. I just contacted the order center, and it looks like they were

incorrect. The vehicle is being shipped by rail to a distribution center in

Brookfield, MA. As of yesterday the vehilce passed through Sailougat, IL on

it's way to MA. There is no ETA on when it will get to the distribution center

(VDC) but it should be in the next week or so.

So i am getting closer!
