I am doing my camera install and I am building my own harness harness to mimic what the factory would like. I cut the connectors off a wrecked truck, but i am curious where they attach under the bed. To help me out can you post a pick of the connection location of your factory set up as well as what the grommet looks like. thanks for your help

It's not that easy. I know this because my local Line-X dealer cut my harness and spliced it together when they damaged it at the tailgate. They ended up paying my dealership to replace the chassis harness and the tailgate camera. The camera harness in made into the chassis harness and is connected in several parts under the truck. The dealership had to lift the bed on my truck to replace it. The main connection is right under the driver's seat, under the truck at the frame rail. From there it goes a down the frame to the area behind the bumper where it connects to the camera as well as the trailer connector. In route it has several other connectors some of which cross the bed. Not an easy job. There was not book time for this repair so the Line-X dealer had to pay my dealer an hourly rate for this repair. Needless to say they had my truck for 3 day!

The OEM dealer installed camera harness is separate from the chassis harness. Why not just make one similar to it and run it down the same location, driver's frame rail attaching it to the main chassis harness?

just behind the licence plate , there is a couple holes there the plug goes into . When looking at the plate its on the left side . When you take the gate off that has a camera the easiest way too unplug it is too remove the plate and connect it through the hole , I can't remember if its near top or middle of the plate ... 2 holes in it one alignment pin hole and one that holds it in place
