Bed Cargo Manager / Divider

Was finally able to get my BedRug and Pace Edwards Switchblade tonneau cover installed. After searching the threads for cargo manager options for the bed I only found the adjustable cargo bars and 2 x 6 studs. I knew that with the Bedrug my ability to properly engage the slots with a 2 x 8 bed divider would be difficulty and heavy. So I was able to make my own hybrid. I used a 1 x 8 piece of shelving cut to 52 inches and covered it with black vinyl. I then purchased a cargo bar from Walmart and attached it to the board with 2 insulated electrical connecters. As you can see in the picture I attached the bar to the wood on the stationary portion of the bar. This keeps thing like groceries and smaller items from sliding all over my bed during transport and very easy to remove. Also made a grab hook seen on the right side of the that has a hook in the end for grabbing stuff that may at front of the bed. Used velcro to keep it up and out of the way.

Good job! I have a drop in liner and will probably just get a couple of 2x8s for the slots. I really like your hook-on-a-stick idea and have been thinking of making something similar. What specifically did you use for the hook and bar?

I used a 4 foot dowel rod from Home Depot. Then bought one of the small metal garage hooks covered in plastic, then drilled a hole in the end of the stick and screwed in the hook. I wrapped velcro around both ends so that it would grab the bed rug.

Adding the board to the cargo bar is a great idea and it looks nice. I have a cargo bar, but usually end up using a box to put stuff in so it doesn't slide under the bar.

I had the same idea on the hook. I purchased a broom handle and a ladder hook from Home Depot. I also got some rubber storage clips from Bass Pro (used for storing transom light, etc on a boat), which I mounted under my bed cover.

I got a divider from loading zone. I like it a lot. It fits under my bed cover, it's very simple to move around or remove. You can position it over the wheel wells also.http://www.loadingzone.com 8umygudy.jpgSent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

What is the exact part number you ordered I need to get one ......do you have sierra?

What kind of liner do you have?

I found mine a little cheaper on eBay. I have a Silverado and a scorpion liner sprayed in the bed.

Nice idea with the cargo bar and lumber. I like the loading zone cargo management deal too. I have the same reese bar from wal-mart. I think I'm gonna buy another one or two shortly.

I installed this bar I got from Amazon for 25 bucks, threw a plastic bin up against it and now I have easy storage for groceries or anything else I don't want sliding around. Soft tonneau cover over the top. post-125733-0-77542500-1393867104_thumb.jpg
