Well I always like gmc trucks.....

But beyong that, I have a good rebate with gmc/chevy trucks so I want to stick with that line of trucks. I am starting to feel the same thing with the dealership in milford. I have monday off so thank god I will be trying other dealerships. I think tomorrow after the gym, I will give the one in shelton and or waterbury a try.

So I went to Danbury and looked for Vinny but he was not there. I ended up talking to someone else. I ended up picking the same original truck as I wanted (by accident but its the packages I wanted). They quoted the truck (with tax) 2 to 3k more than the milford dealership. I told them I had a better deal from milford and they said they don't know how they could do it but good luck with the stories from that place.

Rock it is such an adventure this Truck shopping. Make sure you go to the GMC truck build site (if u have not already) and really spend some time picking out the options that you are interested in and nail down the MSRP pricing and what you can live without etc. Then decide what you are willing to spend and go check all the dealers. I hardly ever pay any attention to rumors about dealerships having a bad or good rep. I figure that if they really have a bad rep and have screwed over some folks then they are hurting for customers and need a sale and will DEAL. If they have a great reputation you will probably be treated great but not get as good a deal since feeling warm and fuzzy is important to you. Good Luck man. I got mine Jan 17th at around 8k off sticker. The sales guy was OK but he lied a lot which I expected anyway. Part of the job requirement I guess. I really liked the part where he fell down in the floor like one of the UFC fighters and acts like he is pinned and says he is TAPPED OUT Chit I just went ahead and wrote a check at that point LMFAO. Dude was hilarious. Besides it is only money right??

Viney is at blasius in Waterbury at the chevy dealer. ..

My brother got a killer deal w danbury but left w one price and negotiated for weeks via email w the salesman until he finally got the price he wanted..

He got 25000 for his 2011 dodge ram he paid 27 for new and sticker on the gmc was 50k he got for 43...to me that's great..Milford may hook u up but I didn't do well there but my buddy is a tech there and only one I let touch my truck. .

Get a 6.2 and buckets wish I did.,

I can sell u mine it's an ltz loaded white 5.3 w a bunch of accessories I did...it has 1200 miles and perfect

So I went back to my dealership in milford and was talking to them about what trucks they can and can not get. I was arguing with them about how much of a difference was this other truck they could get me. They old me they would knock off 350 when the sticker price was 800 dollars difference. So I asked to see a truck on their lot (no nav or leather seats) which was a crew can 1500 with the AT package and all the other conviences you would want (folding power side mirrors, rear sliding window, etc). Took it for a test drive and loved it. There are few things they need to fix. The front light has condensation and the bumper, if you see it from this pic is a denali bumper and not the standard sierra bumper with the corner steps. I told them to either gmc knocks a few more bucks for it or they fix it and replace the bumper.

So this saturday I pick up this truck.............

My GMC Truck

I just want to thank everyone for their advice and help on my quest to get a truck! Thanks all, you made it easier.

Just fyi the rear bumber on the early (built prior to oct. 2013) have a non step painted bumber. After oct they started putting painted step bumpers on the at's. There is actualy a post on here of multiple people trying to trade for the non step bumpers. So its not really the wrong bumper, its the correct bumper for the package. Imo I would leave it on, if nothing else for resale.

The date makes sense then, because this truck was built back in August of 2013. The sales person said it should have been corner steps, was pretty adamant and said he would check with GMC. I personally like it the way it is. But we will see what they say.

thanks
