Need Advice on getting a different truck

So my first thread when I joined this forum mentioned I was getting a new truck. Turns out I can't get the truck I want. The other dealership will not ship to them. So I have to look around my state to see whats available and it is limited to what I like.

I can live with out navigation, shoot my cell phone will probably do better. The question is this. What do you guys think about these options?

Bucket seats Vs Bench seat?

Leather Vs Cloth?

Also do you think All Terrain Package is worth getting. The truck I am not looking at has cloth bucked seats (I was originally wanting leather bench seats), All Terrain Package, Convenience Package, SLE Value Package, and 6" Chrome assist steps.

Trying to see what people think about these options as well I have never really owned a truck....this would be my first and I would like to do it right.

It's all about YOUR needs and preferences. If you think you will need to sit three in the front get the 40 20 40 seat. Some guys like leather some don't. Me, I got heated and cooled leather buckets and a console. Easy to clean and I don't want three in the front seat. I can't comment on the A/T package. I don't need any assist steps to comfortably get into and out of my truck nor does my 9 year old granddaughter.

I didnt want or need leather and hate burning my *ss on it in the summer. I got a bench seat just like my last truck that I owned for14 years not because I had 3 people in the front maybe 3 times but because with the seat down the armrest is up higher and more comfortable to me. Test drive both bench and buckets then decide which best fits you. The At package looks good and I like color matched trucks. My truck has factory color matched door handles, mirror cap, and side molding. I didnt want to pay more for painted bumpers and grill surround. Just wasnt worth it.

I leveled my last truck and put 33s on it and knew I would do that to this one. I didnt have nerf bars/side steps on my old truck but bought some $200 ones and put them on the new one not so much for me but my parents who sometimes ride in my truck. I use the steps everytime I get in and out. If your stay stock height dont bother but if you level your truck and get larger tires I like them.

Your paying for the truck get what you want.

I live in CT. I would like leather because if there is any spills its easy to clean. I agree it burns in the sun but I am not to worried about that. Its just that with leather it is easier to clean. I am leaning to bench more than bucket seats because with bench its more "open" space. But I guess if the price is right....I can look the other way

I can always put covers over the cloth or get leather as a later product.

What do people think of the all terrain package? Is it even worth it?

How far do you live from the other dealership? I'd go to them directly and see what kind of deal they would give you.

I love the AT package, mainly because I like the techy look of the AT package and the body colored extra's. I don't mind the leather, have had it in all of my previous cars for the last 8 years. The buckets don't have a separate arm rest, the center console is your arm rest and for me it I at the perfect height.

If you can wait why not order a truck how you want?

I like leather personally because it is easier to cleAn, if you use conditioner will wear much better than cloth, and it really doesn't stain or age the way cloth does.

I went with buckets cuz I like the deeper storage bin and felt they're more comfy, also don't need 3 in front. If you get Bose system you get better subwoofer.

I like the all terrain package because it simply looks badass and I wanted the z71 too plus you get unique interior trim w/ carbon look stuff on seats and doors and red stitching etc

Love my All Terrain. I think they look better and I like the interior look better as well. FIrst vehicle with leather and so far so good. I also like bucket seats much better for comfort and I like the huge center counsel.

a/t is cool but you can't get a bench seat in it. also if you want leather in an a/t you have to get an SLT. if you like the bench, you can get an SLE with black only leather. It looks good though. I personally prefer the bucket seats, the console is huge and the arm rest seems to be a little more comfortable for me, I'm very tall. you can get buckets in a SLE a\t and they are heated. both the leather and cloth are very comfortable. I suggest you test drive each model.

I have the at slt with leather and buckets. I personally like the look of leather better yes. But i really like the feel and comfort of cloth bucket seats instead. Plus its rare

Buy the truck you want would be my advice and don't believe everything your dealer tells you! If the truck you want is somewhere else go buy it somewhere else! Don't get married to a dealer. They will forget who you are the minute you drive off the lot!

In most cases a person who frequents this truck website knows more about GM trucks than most salesmen do!

Thanks for all the info guys. I have been busy with work and today has been another snow day to go out and see what other dealerships have. I want leather seats for sure as it is easier to clean than cloth. I have had cloth in my cars and it has standed in my eating of breakfast in the morning ;).

So the other truck he offered me was one with 20" wheels. It's sticker price is $800 dollars less than the other one and he only offered me a 350 dollar discount. I sent him an email that it was unacceptable and that I wanted the complete difference. I haven't heard from him since. I plan to check other dealerships and have then come back to him and demand a refund of my money.

I like the A/T just because of the "package" but I would never go off roading with it haha. So it would be great to have but not needed. I see alot of people like the bucket seats and they are great but I figure bench can come in handy once in a while and I am not talking about driving 6 people around. I also don't need that much storage compartment either.
