Dealer "Care Package" After Purchase

I got in the mail a cookie tin of choc chip cookies from my dealer, Classic Chevrolet, Grapevine, TX.

Checked the mail today and received an after purchase care package with some cookies and a thank you from the sales girl who sold me my Silverado a few weeks ago. I know it seems like a minute gesture when spending $30k+ on a new vehicle but it was something I wasn't expecting. This has been my first experience buying a brand new off the lot vehicle so I'm not sure if this is something all dealers or manufactures do but has anyone else received a cool care package after purchase?

I got a batch of Christie cookies in a nice Tin Container with the dealerships name on it. I threw the can away but kept the top with the dealers name and hung it up on the wall in my workshop garage. I thought it was a nice gesture of them to send it. Did not expect anything from them, it was just a business deal after all.

I got a trip for 2 to Alaska, a great 5-star resort hotel complete with a fully stocked bar, candy, flowers, great meals, the works!

Oh - THAT dealer! Never mind.

Thats what they send you when they really bend you over on pricing and feel bad for you after you leave. hahaha

I bought my wife's Malibu in 2012 and my Silverado in November of 2013. Only thing I've received is junk mail and 10% off service coupons from the dealership.

I've been told if my dealer gets a rating less than 100% that they will actually send you a $100 gift card for car washes. I have yet to test this out for sure as I just received a letter from them in the mail yesterday.

The last brand new Chevy truck I bought (back in 1997 lol) Chevy sent me an insulated stainless steel coffee mug and a pair of leather work gloves, nothing from the dealership.

I got a "thank you" card in the mail from Chevy the other day.

Nothing from the dealerships in 1997 or 2014 lol.
