Dealer "Care Package" After Purchase

Recommended Posts

Checked the mail today and received an after purchase care package with some cookies and a thank you from the sales girl who sold me my Silverado a few weeks ago. I know it seems like a minute gesture when spending $30k+ on a new vehicle but it was something I wasn't expecting. This has been my first experience buying a brand new off the lot vehicle so I'm not sure if this is something all dealers or manufactures do but has anyone else received a cool care package after purchase?

It is something places that appreciate your business and want to continue to do business with you will do. My aunt is a real estate agent and sends customers and other people like appraisers and home inspection people things like that or gift cards.

I got a lot of letters asking me to score them excellent on the GM survey. That's about it

I would much rather get a great deal on a new vehicle and have no problems with it than receive small gifts.

I can honestly say I believe I got the best deal I possibly could at the time. After shopping around for well over a month at multiple dealers I ended up driving 2 hours for the deal that I got including a few dealer throw in accessories, an extra year on the GM service plan, and now cookies haha

I know how you feel...I got cookies and a thank you note too! Really is a nice touch. Of course I got the expected email from the sales manager asking if there was any reason why I wouldn't rate them high. But never expected the cookies...

By the way...good choice in color!

Cookies - Lucky. Would have preferred a cold beer but I wouldn't complain.

From the minute I left my stealership, I haven't heard two words from them. Before the sale, they were the best one that I had delt with withing a 3 hour drive. Now, I'm wishing I would have kept looking.

I gave my stealership a poor rating too and I never got anything. Not even the call for "why did you rate us so low"

Nice! Haha, I got a pen with the dealership logo on it. My dad got a wine bottle opener from his Buick dealership, which is actually pretty nice. Came with a rubberized cork to close half opened bottles too.

Same thing (cookies) when I bought my 2000 silverado and 08 Tahoe. Truck nothing and camaro free oil changes I never have used

I wish I would have got cookies! I should call my salesman and complain! lol

I got a mutli-tool knife thing and a couple of key chains from my dealer.

Good deal and great customer service! If it is free - its for me especially after paying the big $$$ on these new trucks.

If Chevy wants repeated customers they have to do more especially the way Ford and RAM is raising the pole on their new trucks.

There's a company that does that for dealerships.... I got one with my last RV and hey we're here talking about it so it makes an impact right?

Nice gesture.

It has been common for dealers to send me coupons for "deals" or even comps on services or accessories after ive bought a new vehicle.
