Sunroof

So my girlfriend thinks that my truck needs a sunroof. It has a lift and 35's on it so you really wouldn't be able to see it from the outside. My only concern is the possible leaking I would have since it would be a aftermarket not a factory sunroof. Does anyone have any experience with a aftermarket sunroof?

Cutting a huge hole in your brand new truck? good luck! seriously though, a reputable shop and good brand like Webasto and you'd be fine probably be $1500 or so

I would bolt down a seat in the back , with a saftey belt of course. Not tools required.

Seriously thou, if you do anything try to see a finished product on someone elses vehicle . (reference)

All sunroofs leak a bit, factory or aftermarket. That's why they have drip trays and drain hoses. As long as you find an experienced shop, you should be fine.

I've had a sunroof in the last two cars I've owned. When I get a Silverado, I'll be getting one.

I love them. It's great rolling it back on a nice summer day, with all the windows down. Never had leaking problems with mine.

Got it on my 2014. First sunroof in any of my trucks, I love it. I use it so much i can't seem to keep it closed

I love the rolling down back window in my brothers tundra. Good to get the cold ones from the cooler while going to the lake or beach. Sunroof gives any vehicle a sexier look. Is like a pu**y magnet with a sunroof lol

I guess I'm one of the 5 people that doesn't care for a sunroof or opening back window. I don't even see a need for the rear windows opening in my truck. I can see wanting a sunroof in a car to make it feel bigger. I don't get it in a pickup though. As far as the sliding rear glass, every older vehicle I've seen with it has had issues with it, and I don't see what it's useful for. Basically it's another window motor to go out lol.

I have seen people add sunroofs to older pickups, but they're manually operated and will cause more wind noise. There are kits for it.

No sunroof for me. The sun and I do not get along so I did not order that option. I did enjoy one for night time use I few cars back. Guess it depends on how you would use it. Sounds like you want it to make your truck look better. I say go for it if that's what you want and you have the money.

I've had sunroofs on most vehicles I've owned and opened them once or twice. I passed. I will say that I loved my tundra power rear window, but again, i didn't use it enough to pay extra for it had it been an option.

I've had many sunroofs on all kinds of cars and suvs.. I've hardly ever used them.. on a bmw or mb I owned there was a glitch.. I think it was the 03 s500.. there was a module that would glitch and open all the Windows and sunroof.. people would report coming out in the morning to all of them down and the car filled with snow
