Slacker is another paid subscription service with unlimited skips for a low monthly rate. Maybe GM will get off their ass and add TuneIn and Slacker to the Mylink as well.

I've had a lifetime subscription in my 08 since new. I was told it was transferable. I'm about to find out. I get my 2014 tomorrow.

I let mine expire for 2 weeks and then called and got 6 months for 30.00 dollars. Just have to remember to cancel before the 6 months or they auto renew at full price.

Not sure if this works but I have heard that you can specifically request to not have the subscription auto-renew.

Or, maybe it's possible to have them send you a bill so you can write them a check for the 6 months and that way they won't have your CC# information.

you lose some of your negotiating leverage with them this way... Depending who you get on the phone, some reps know what you are doing and some are truly using it as a retention offer and will not give the deal without the recurring subscription....

Yes everyones advise is right. Just let them cancel it and turn it off. They will be ringing your phone off the hook trying to retain you. Just play hard to get . Works every time. But as someone else said. DO NOT USE CREDIT CARD OR AUTO BILLING! They will auto bill at full price. By the way this works great for DISH NETWORK to. I haven't paid for HBO in years.

Keep waiting and waiting. They will send letters and call. The last call you will recieve will be from someone working out of there home and it will be dirt cheap! I have owned 3 new gm vehicles and its the same everytime. I dont remember the exact price on the last call I recieved but I think it was like $4 a month.

I found you can ask them to set the account to NOT auto-renew. They seemed to be pretty accommodating with this request, but I'm still going to keep my eye on the account.

And then they say "there is a $2 invoice fee"....LMAO, whatever guys. I'll have that waived when I cancel next year and am asked to renew again. It's a constant game, but it's the only way to save money.

I have had better pricing by doing the auto renew but calling to cancel before it's up.... Did it today and they extended my plan on both vehicles until September for $13 without even having to have them shut it off... It's pretty sad the way they do business but the consumer wins

Well said. I hate how they do business but if you want to haggle, you can usually get what you want within 20 minutes. Though I always hang up annoyed that they continue, year after year to operate in the manner they do.

Exactly Nards...the original point was NO commercials, huge selection and good pricing. Now......not so much.

About 2+ months after letting my XM trial expire, they are now offering me 6 months for $25 (via mail and telemarketing). When I declined on the phone, they offered me one month for $0.99, which I also declined.

I'm into my 6 th month and still getting XM free.

Good for you, how did you manage that?
