New Silverado Owner - Chicagoland

Hello all. Just bought a new 5.3L Silverado High Country. It's my first truck, and I'm moving to GM from Hyundai. My Hyundai Santa Fe served me well for 13 years, and was still going strong, but it was time to try something new. I was interested in the Sierra Denali, but on a whim, stopped at the Chevy dealer and fell in love with the Red High Country with the saddle brown leather interior.

Question for other new owners: I'm getting a burning smell on the outside after even short drives at city speeds. Is this normal?

Welcome aboard. Cubs or sox fan?

Burning smell is normal for new vehicles. Basically break in. My camaro has 2800 miles and is just starting to not notice it

I cannot guarantee anything, but I will be glad to look further into this. Please send us a private message referencing your concern if we can be of any assistance. Thank you.
