I got a lighter pair of shoes so I wouldn't press so hard on the gas pedal...

Actually, I would say that my K&N FIPK has increased my mileage a good 3mpg on the highway (about 21 mpg on highway now) but some people say it hurts their mileage.  It different on every truck!

Ditto on that! :nono: It's amazing how much better my new truck's 6.8L mpg is when you keep the rpms around 2000.  When I had my Silverado 5.3L I could vary the mileage as much as 2 to 3 mpg depending on how hard I ran it.

Install an uncooked egg between the gas pedal and the floorboard.

Seriously, I have yet to come across a mod that will pay for itself with mileage improvements in less than a few years.

That about say's it all. I have noticed that if I just watch how I drive and keep it on the ole' double nickle I get the best mpg. Oh and that is the  speed limit on my twenty mile commute anyway. :jester:

It might be just me but I also feel changing everything out to full synthetic might have helped. Heck it has to have freed up something, at least I would hope. But then it can be just my big head telling me there is a difference.

I drive my '03 65 miles a day round trip, 98% highway miles. This might sound stupid, but my mileage is much better at 68 mph, than at 70. That 2 mph makes a discernable difference in my mileage. Next is to upgrade to K&N, then go with a tonno.

I like the egg Idea, I guess I just need to make sure I have a good floor liner in case I need to do a little racing  :(  :jester:

I think that a K&N Filter kit is a good Idea however if you drop 200+ bones for it, it'll take you 2 years to re-coop the cost.......  As for the tono cover......... It adds looks to the  truck as well as performance :thumb:

My wife drives the truck most of the time, as I comute 40 miles round trip everyday and she does 15.  I think it's my weekend playing that is lowering my mileage :)  :thumb:

What about adding a super-charger?

What about loosing some weight of the truck? Amazing what you could do if you dropped a couple lbs......

all my stuff otogether got my city MPG up to where the highway used to be, I think----> "...4 Infinify Reference Plate Loudspeakers"

Those speakers will certain improve the mileage, and add some horsepower too.   :(
