That'll look sharp. I prefer just the plain 2in cowl hood myself. Is the scoop functional on those?

I'm not sure, but I'm hoping that it is. That would be a big plus.

Well boys the parts showed up! I'm in the process of installing them now.

Why not go with the powestop z36 package that is powder coated, had rotors, pads, and calipers for like $300

They're stock aren't they? These are stock, and I have $156 in it with the lines. I have new brake rotors I installed last year so I don't need those.

I'm going to have to go with something else and return these anyway. When I compared them to the original ones they are different where the pad sits into the bracket.

They are stock calipers, pads and rotors arent, but they classed up the look with the powder coating.

The powder coating did look nice. I was looking at buying just the caliper kit they have. It's $119.00, but with the core charge it's $220 up front. That's probably what I'll end up going with since these didn't work.

I love build threads like this, keep up the good work Daryl! Got me alittle jelly with some of the things you've tackled.

Okay, so now I'm on the right track. Went to Advance Auto earlier and got the correct calipers.

I got both calipers installed, but only one braided line on the passenger side. The drivers side steel line was so rusted that it wouldn't let the fitting twist without turning the line with it so it ended up breaking the line. I'm going to replace the line tomorrow. I already have the parts.

Your pic made me chuckle because when I did the 03-06 caliper upgrade on the front and rear of my truck I got them from Advance Auto and one of the front ones had a gold bracket like yours lol. I need to yank mine back off and paint them. They rusted FAST.

Yea, I'm not exactly sure what's up with that? I did paint mine before I quit for the night.

Just did brakes on mine... Made all the difference in the world... What pads did you go with?

I bought the Centric Semi-Metallic pads this time. They are the same ones that I installed on my Cruze, and they work great on it so I expect the same from these.

I finished up installing everything today. Dad helped me finish up, and he didn't like how the braided lines mounted to the frame. So we took the steel mounts off of the rubber hoses and installed them instead. Worked out a lot better.

This is the original steel line that we replaced.
