Okay, all done playing around for the day. Decided to paint the metal tray under the air box while I had it out.

Is your truck missing the heat shield that goes across the entire firewall?

Some of it. Some of it was missing when I bought it, and some came off when we installed the current engine.

The felt tape I ordered from Amazon came. I'm going to use this on my interior to keep things from rattling where they rub together. For over 240k miles there's not many rattles in the interior though.

Rattles drive me nuts. lol

Same here. Like I said, thankfully I only have a few and they're really not that bad.

For sure. Definitely won't leave them unfinished in this state.

That stuff works great. I used it. Just taped off the pistons, hung them from a wire hanger, and went to town with that bbq paint

That's what I'll go with then because what I used on my car doesn't last for crap.

Snooping around on Google with ideas on how I want the truck to look when I get around to doing the major body work and paint in the future. I really like the hood on these two trucks. I've been set on doing the 03-05 front hood and grille swap since I bought the truck, and I still am. Thinking I'll do a painted grille though like on the SS.
