KRANK08 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I just bought a 2014 LTZ 6.2L 4x4 and really dislike all of the chrome on the front. I am trying to mimick the Z71 and have already plasti-dipped the front grill and fog light housing black. I want to replace the lower bumper piece (the piece directly below the tow hooks) with the Z71 version. The Z71 is a pewter/grey color with raised portins on either side while the 4x4 is just chrome (see pics below). Does anyone know if this piece can be purchased individiually or would I need to buy the entire bumper? 4x4: Z71:
chuckl1218 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I can't find it now, but there was a thread about installing tow hooks on a non 4 wheel drive truck. It involved ordering the Z71 lower panels. Search for something like "installing tow hooks" For some reason I couldn't find it when I looked just now. Found it...tow hook surround thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/158868-tow-hook-surround-trim/
2014MallCrawler Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Yep you can add the new lower piece. You have to take the whole bumper off to do it tho. I think there's more bolts in the front bumper than my old camaro had in its whole body. lol
