I have a manual climate control in my 2015 now when the truck is running and is off before you start the truck and you turn the fan speed control knob from off to on the AC comes on all the time and if you push the AC button to turn it off it stays off even though you turn the fan speed off and on. Once you shut the truck off and restart later with the fan set to off and then turn back on the AC comes on again even though you shut the AC off before shutting truck off.

Now if you are driving the truck with the fan speed on and the AC off you can turn the fan speed dial to off and back on and the AC wont come on unless you turn it on by the button the way it should work by only turning the AC on when you want it to. Dealer said its the way they have them working now, Iam just wondering if other peoples trucks do the same.

I notice this happens to mine as well. I think its only when using remote start though. Also my heat on the mirrors turns on.

It means the ac is enabled so it can run, it does not necessarily mean the compressor is running. The ac light does not turn on and off as the compressor cycles.

The ac is also also used for humidity control, so sometimes it will run both the ac and engine water thru the heater at the same time.
