Brake lights staying on GMC 2500 HD Sierra

I've changed the brake light switch. Problem not corrected. Also cruise not working. Bumping brake pedal side to side turns brake lights off and cruise may or may not work. Changed out bulbs at cab brake light twice. Burnt out because constantly on. What next?

what brand switch did you buy? Had mine go out in my 1500 and just went with the oreillys brand switch twice and actually made the problem worse, got the acdelco one and has been perfect since.

I got the acdelco brand switch from O'Reilly for about $17. The job took about 20 minutes. I didn't see much of a way to adjust the switch, but I didn't look too hard. It was cold in my driveway in January. I just put it in like the old one and it has worked great for about five months so far.
