2.5 Inch Rough Country Lift

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Just drunkenly ordered a 2.5" Rough Country lift last night. Anyone have any pics of a 2.5 on the 2014's? Looking for what tire size to use.

Thanks all!

I have almost the same truck...same color, wheels, bed length. Did you put the blocks in the back? I'm getting ready to do mine. Your truck looks great!

Thank you. Yes I did the 2" blocks in the back. Ild suggest doing it because without it the truck has the back rake to it. A lot of people say "oh only 2.5 inches?" But believe me more people can tell the difference so far than those who can't

Do you like the rake it has with the 2" block in the back? I wanted to put a 3" block in so it gives it more of the original rake proportion it had but when I called Rough Country the person I spoke to said you can't put a 3" block without changing out the shocks. But then I swear I've read somewhere on this website where someone said they called Rough Country but was told they could put 3" blocks in. So confused. Also, to make things more confusing, Ready Lift sells a 3" block kit.

Thanks!

I am looking for some measurements after your 2.5 install. I haul a camper pretty regularly so I am considering doing 2,5 kit but leaving the .5" spacer off the front to keep a rake in it. Anyone have any thoughts?

You can keep the .5" spacer and put a 3" block in the rear to restore some of the rake. That's what I ended up doing. If you do that don't buy the whole kit. Buy the front lift components separately and then the blocks and bolts separately. In fact, I would recommend checking if a local shop carries the 3" block and bolts. That's a genetic component and might be cheaper than buying Rough Country's blocks.
