well that's because you have the option installed. But what they're saying is lower trims without the option wont have the wiring. But higher trims without the option installed may have the wiring.

I know what he is saying. What I was saying is if you want the power rear sliding window, don't settle for one without it.

Kind of hard to not settle, the rear window was on constraint with no ETA of a return date. I wasn't going to wait as there was some money on the table in regards to my trades that I needed to take advantage of.

I will deal with it and either go after market or factory down the road.

Does anyone have a photo of what the wiring harness would look like that should be in place if I can add a power sliding rear window?

The power sliding rear window was (lucky for me) on constraint (I think) when my truck was built so I didn't get one. I tried to delete it when I ordered but the salesman said it was standard equipment on LTZs so he didn't think it would be possible. When it arrived without it I didn't know who to thank for it NOT being there!! :)

Why did you not want it?

Don't like the way they look. It looks like an abortion compared to the clean, smooth look of a flat window. Before anybody goes nuts on me...this is just MY PERSONAL OPINION :D .

Where did you get your taillights?

Off eBay. I'm on my cell so I don't have the link handy. If you're interested and can't find them PM me and I'll send you the link in the morning.

Only bad thing is the power sliding rear window almost completely eliminates the buffeting when you have the front 2 windows down. Without the window you have to keep the front windows half way up to be able to hear anything while on the highway.

Lesson in life: Don't take the truck if it is not what you want. Tell them to keep the truck if it was not ordered/built to your specifications. You are the decision maker with the cash. No one at the dealer eats until you sign & metal leaves the lot.

This. I do not know how many trucks like I wanted but with no slider that I passed on.

Exactly why I declined my first build (was built without the sliding window as ordered). I did not want to compromise the things I wanted in my truck even though it cost me an extra 8 weeks before delivery. Picking up the second build tomorrow finally.

Anyone have pics where the sliding motor is mounted and or where to check to see if you have the wiring ran there?

I have a n LT 1500 and the plug for the motor was behind the insulation behind rear seats, I replaced my roof consel with one that had the rear window switch but it didn’t work I tested the plug for the motor for voltage with and without using the switch and nothing, I’ve noticed some posts about programming for this anyone know if that’s all that’s needed?
