Ok. Bought me a 2015 silverado crew cab 2wd texas edition leather seats 1000 miles right now..... Buttttt. I been made an offer on a nice looking 2007 white Chevrolet 4x4 diesel with lift and mud terrain tires and aftermarket wheels with 108 thousand miles extra fuel tank in back crew cab for 27,000. I paid a few grand more for my brand new one but this oldie still has the wow factor.. What do y'all think? Nothing wrong with either truck. Just had to get in a vehicle asap

Its your truck so do what you like. I think you would be very happy with the 08 with an efi live setup. You can get lots of miles with the diesel and Allison. At least 250K miles on it

All depends on what you want from your truck.. I personally couldn't go back to a gas truck after owning a diesel.. That's just me though. If your just looking for "wow" factor, that's a stupid reason to trade your brand new truck for one with over 100k. Also remember that the 2500 isn't going to ride nearly as good as that K2

I think it would be a stupid move and remember the wow showing off factor will wear off in time and you will kick yourself in the ass for the move.

I had a 04 LLY D-Max Diesel and it was used to tow my boat and other boats with a triple axle trailer also but after I stopped towing I got rid of the Diesel because I couldn't see owning a Diesel which I had no use for but to drive around.

Think of this the 07 is really 8 years older has a lift, big tires and 108k and a few years down the road the truck is going to be worth a lot less on the resale then your 15 mostly because nobody will want it with those mods. For me I would never buy a lifted modded truck.

100k is 100k. That engine and trans may go for a long long time. But the chassis will start to need maintenance soon. U-joints, ball joints, bushings, tierod ends, idler link, Pitman arm, water pump, hoses, brakes, hub bearings, half-shaft CV joints, etc. You can drive these trucks 100-150k and do nothing to them, but they are wearing and things are getting loose. I know a guy that drove his over 200k and did no major repair/maintenance. But it's loose as heck and needs all that stuff now. If you ain't doing something that requires that diesel, I'd stick with the new truck and enjoy the first 100-150k of low maintenance cost.
