While at a complete stop and letting off my brake and reapplying the brake I get this squeak that sounds like rubber grommet is making noise? Have any of you experienced this? 2014 LTZ 4x4

Hello Tacofarmer,

My apologies to hear you are experiencing concerns with a squeaking sound in your 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. I realize that you are seeking feedback from fellow forum members. We'd be happy to further document this concern and possibly reach out to your dealership for a vehicle diagnosis. If this interests you, please reach out to me via private message with your contact information, VIN, current mileage and dealership name. We hope to hear from you!

I had this issue on my 2007 Silverado. I found that turning up the radio eliminates the problem............

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have the Bose system so I'm sure that's an option, but I don't roll that away. I too had an 07, but didn't have that issue. Had a 2013 as well without any issues.

My '14 5.3L double cab started this around 9000-10000 miles. I fixed it, by trading it in for a 4.3L crew cab.

Wish it were that easy. I actually thought that. So, I took my shoes off. Squeak, squeak, squeak.

    • I understand that. The price is what it is, though. The price is what oil costs today, where our choices have led us, where supply is, and where demand is, in the market that is. Speculation is for futures, what we think the price will be, but with incomplete information at the time the price is forecast. I know you know this, but you appear to be intent on making a secondary point here about what you think the market could or should be, if only other choices.   In 1975 it became illegal to export US Crude. I'm conflicted on what the best answer is. Free markets allow export in pursuit of profit. But there is also a lot to gain by producing and consuming our own oil here. How do you reconcile it?
    • That sir is a choice. And even if it were not for all the reasons stated, this disruption has zero to do with the reality of the actual logistics and everything to do with the greed of SPECULATION. Spot price is irrelevant to reality.
    • What I think you're saying is there is supply here at home, and in Venezuela, and we could ease pricing if only it were favorable to do so.   Well, yes?   But that's not the current market. Supply isn't what could someday exist, if only, it's what producers are willing to produce and sell at a certain price point.   The national price of single family homes would come way down if we'd just slap together a few million homes this summer.   RAM and GPUs would get a lot cheaper if we just set up some factories to produce a bunch more and stopped using it to build out AI data centers.
    • The turn signal/multifunction switch is faulty.  I've seen a few of these go bad at work.
    • I am experiecing the same issue, I have gone in the setting and disabled rain sensing function but I am still experiencing this. Whe i use my turn signal they will redomly turn on.
