Wrong fluid in transfer case

hi im rick2000. my son has a 2006 Silverado 1500 automatic. he put 90 weight gear oil in his transfer case. and drove it about 25 miles. do you think there will be any damage to it?

Does it have the 4 wheel auto? Not sure, but I would let it drain overnight and get the correct fluid back in it. I would think you would be ok.

and then replace it again after what ^^^^^^^^^ he said to do,

 

oh and smack your son up side his head ,,,,and to stop doing anything to his truck ,,,he should now be placed on the "banned " list as per your instructions

Yeah, I'd do a fill and dump with the correct fluid Then fill again.
