I'm going to nees to get some drag tires soon. And figure out what I need to get

I don't know what size tire you're running, but Mickey Thompsons new Pro drag radial is hard to beat. Currently it only comes in 275/60/15 but there are rumors of a bigger size coming.

I think they work ok.

I don't have any drag tires or wheels. On now are 295 wide 18" Nitto Extreme 555 performance tires(not the 555 R drag radial). Not sure how to figure out what size of everything I'll need(I'll have the Camaro site help me out), I know Jeg's branded drag wheels are only like $130 new. With mini tub you can fit any 335.

Since I don't have easy access to a good dyno, I'll probably start going to the drag strip before long so I can start "measuring" the power there.

This is the starter the block maker sells. The one I have is no longer made.

It says its fully "clockable" that the mount will fully rotate to fit any way I need it.

Made new plug wires. MSD kit I got must have been made on a Friday. One terminal was destroyed, one wire had been started already, one wire seems WAY too long(have to cut them all anyway) and it was supposed to have an included crimp tool, which it only had HALF of.

Hope to finish them and starter tomorrow. Also lost track of where a few go on distrutor when I knocked one off and didn't realize it until I tries to replace it

Its ALIVE! Fired up immediately. Idle is either oh so itty bit smoother, or placebo effect of new wires, but regardless,.

I think the old starter was wrong or installed incorrectly, because this new one is a lot closer to the flywheel. Not in horizontal, but in vertical. You could see the wear on its teeth as a result

Got a recall in the mail for the switchblade key replacement. Going to politely decline and sign the waiver. When I got the letter my 4 yr old goes we don't need that. Smart kid

Ryan, Did you ever get the recall for the seat adjuster bolt on the SS?

I have never gotten the key or that one yet and both show up in my VIN search.

Ordered 6' of stainless braided hose for the fuel line. For some reason, the guy that put the hold on just used rubber high pressure hose.....aaannnddd its outer shell is now cracking. Its push-on hose between the pump and the main fuel line. Really hoping I ordered the right(pretty sure its -12) size so I don't have to wait for a second order.

Now I need to figure the best way to cut the stainless braided down to size.... Time for google.

Oh and hope the old hose doesn't break when I'm pulling off.(its not braided, so a knife would work for that I guess)

I got the speedometer gear housing out. The inner seal is jacked, glad to see that IS the issue.

Trimmed down the spark plug wire that was too long.

Ordered new fuel hose(for between pump and lines), pretty sure I ordered the correct size(12 AN). The line OD is over 3/4" and under 1", so it has to be 12 AN.

Is the ID 3/4"? A -12 is 3/4", -14 is 7/8", -10 is 5/8.

I know the AN ID's, problem is while the hose still works, its looks like if I take it off it will be done for good, so I don't want down time in the mean time. OD depends on brand, but since its between 3/4 and 1, it has to be 12, I looked up ODs on several 12's, and most of them were a little under 1", which is what the hose on it measures. It would have to have have a really thin wall to be a 14. Edited by SnakeEyes
