I recently bought a 2015 and have a whistling noise when I get to around 60 MPH. It sounds like it is either from the roof lights, XM antenna or possibly the windshield. Anyone had or heard of this before?

I was on another forum and some over there said their Dad's truck had the same issue and it was the windshield. Local dealer fixed the problem. I have not taken mine in yet, but will let everyone know the outcome.

I have the same problem. Would love to figure out what is causing it.

Hey everyone,

We've noticed a few of you on the forum have experienced this whistling noise. We have documented it within our system. We highly encourage visiting the dealership to have this concern resolved as soon as possible. If you would like for us to contact the dealership on your behalf, send us a private message. We would be more than happy to do so. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or comments. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Eddie A.

I have taken my 2015 in for an oil change and they were not able to duplicate the whistling noise and gave it back. I asked if I could take someone with me and show them and they sent a tech with me. We were unable to duplicate it but I had a recording of the noise. They suggested giving them the truck and they would put me in another vehicle while they tried to find the noise. I am giving them the truck tomorrow while I am out of town for a week. I will let everyone know what they find or don't find in a week.

I got back Friday and the dealer said they tightened the drivers mirror. After driving it for a while yesterday, the noise has not been fixed. I talked to them and they told me from the beginning it may take a bit to figure out where it is coming from.

I will be setting up another appointment to see if they can find anything else.

Maybe the roof is separating on the cross members like several of the new Yukons...

That don't sound good.

No its not! Go check out the k2xx suburban yukon forum on here and there is a big long thread on it. But I really hope that it's not happening with the HD trucks too. Lots of these trucks go for north of 60k and that's a lot for a vehicle with separating roof panels. I know what it's like to buy an expensive truck that goes south fast.

All,

I think my dealer has hit the mark with the tow mirrors. They tightened up the drivers side tow mirror. I have been driving my truck for two weeks now and I have not hade the loud whistling noise I previously had. I still have a faint whistle every now and again. Nothing like it was. I am going to take it back to them and see if there is anything else they can do for the tow mirrors to get ride of the every so often noise.
