Interesting.. It's always been a touchy situation for any performance shop to "warranty" something that breaks due to a modification. You want it, here's the risk! Still two sides of that story. Pushing or over the limit of the factory rods? Detonation? Missed shift into wrong gear? Can't hang anybody until exactly the root cause is known. Should GM be liable if it was a bearing failure? I think not. How does one warranty a drivetrain anyways when a decent chance of a problem could arise from that level of power? I've been in a Performance shops shoes as well as the customer side. It's a risk I always took modifying my vehicles and I always made sure my customers understood things up front. When it's blatant fault of shop, then no questions, it should be fixed and made good. Hennesseys warranty could go against the customer if nothing was noted up front. How many people would ask about the warranty and get warranty papers on this type of modification after seeing this little "fine print" to make some clarity?? I would for damn sure!
