Cargo Light Question

Does the Cargo light on the 3rd brake light not come on when the door is opened? I know this light would come on in my previous year models. I looked through the DIC for a setting but cant seem to find it.

On my 2011 the cargo light does NOT come on when the door is opened. You must turn the interior lights on manually to turn on the cargo light. I think a simple switch for the cargo light would have been better, but this (current method) may prevent leaving it on or driving with it on.

It was much nicer in my opinion when the light would come on with the door open. I just thought i was missing it in the settings.

It does come on with unlocking using the key fob with location lights turned on in personalization.
