TPMS Compatibility

Just put a set of OEM wheels from a 2015 Yukon on my 2013 Tahoe. Tried to program the TPMS sensors by putting the truck in program mode, then letting air out of the front left tire. Wouldn't detect the sensor. Does anyone know if there's a compatibility issue with the 2015 sensors vs. the 2013 truck?

It seems like I've read that there is a compatibility issue between the two. I do believe the sensors for the 15's are different.

Bumping this up since I finally found out the answer today. I took the truck in to get the oil changed and tires rotated. Didn't say anything to them about the TMPS possibly not being compatible. Happily, they were able to program the 2015 wheels to my 2013 truck with no problem. Really glad that this worked out, saved me a big hassle and a few hundred bucks in new sensors!

I don't think you can do the air release on 2012 and newer trucks. Have to use the tool if I recall. Its been discussed somewhere on the forum. Might be why it didn't work at first.
