Havent used 4wd yet this winter.  Today will be my lucky day.  Might have to put the warn shackle in the hitch and get out the tow rope

We are getting sleet/rain now.  It is getting slippery out there.  We are suppose to get 3-5 inches of snow sometime.  Hopefully it starts to dump around 5pm so my mom can get home and I can go out and play.

It wasnt predicted that until 3pm-6pm we would get this.  Guess it came 12 hrs early.

Just shoveled driveway and sidewalks and you cant even tell.

A bus was struggling to get down my block.  Slipping and sliding.

This should be a very interestying day

We got a bunch Monday, then it blew out.  Wonder if its the same storm system dumping on you Ryan?  It didn't really pile up here because the winds were so high.  Kind of snowed sideways -  :sideways:

Me, me, me!!!

This was to be expected in Chicago meteorological history.  In the past when we've had near record or record highs in January, it has been followed up with a blizzard within a week.  One time it was a record setting snowfall.  This one may come close depending on the freeze line.  Currently that freeze line is close to the I80 corridor and from there to around the Illinois/Wisconsin border, expect at least 8".  Could be more depending on how slow the system tracks and provided that freeze line stays where it does.  Could be 10+ for those of us in the meat of the snow portion.  Yeeehaawww!!

Chevy, you probably won't see much (or as much as us) up in Milwaukee because the track of the storm is laying the heaviest in the Northern Illinois area and the storm is tracking in from the SW which is why you haven't seen anything yet.

Right now its to warm and not a whole lot is sticking.  If this keeps up into the evening hrs itll be piling up for sure

Sweet, doesn't matter to me either way.  I'm probably taking a half day anyways.  I've got to go the dentist at noon, so I figure why bother coming back to work, might as well take a much needed break. :sarcasm:

no snow here. I woke up this morning and my truck looked like a block of ice.  couldnt get in the drivers seat because the door was frozen shut barly got in the passenger door.   :0

It ought to be coming your direction Silverado Man.  We have about 2" here now on top of all the dang ice.  Its really not to bad getting around though, certainly not 4wd time.  Now if we get 8" by tonight, I might consider 4wd in the morning.  Probably not though, I have used 4wd in town a total of once in the last 3 years.  The city plows the roads, and if my old man can get around in 6+" of snow in his C1500 then I sure as heck can.

I'm gonna save my time in 4wd for when I go out in the country and have to run down snow banks.  (wind is blowing as usual)
